Jabulani and Nombulelo Ndlovu have worked with Derbyshire Fire & Rescue Service to help prevent accidental drownings after losing their son in 2021.

Sister and brother Emma (16) and Ben (14) and their friend Millie (16), all from Hastings in East Sussex, were part of a group who used a life ring to help rescue two elderly swimmers who were in trouble at Rock-a-Nore beach in Hastings, while Millie made the 999 call to the Coastguard.
Nicola
Nicola, 46, from Nottingham knows how important the safety advice is. Her son Owen, 12, sadly lost his life and drowned after rescuing a friend who got into trouble in the water.
Simon
Simon, from Newcastle, Tyne and Wear followed advice when his son, Evan, got into trouble in the water whilst on holiday. They were at Beadnell Bay and Evan and his friends were swimming in the water, the sea was choppy that day and the waves were big.
